A New Dawn - A New Day

Today is the beginning of something new.  Scary as that sounds, I'm ok.  Serendipitous of my fresh start, I am beginning again with a fresh blog.  Though the last one was never updated... maybe once every other month - I am attempting to do better this time.  That's a promise!

"You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." - Mae West

Beginning a-new is not easy.  Wiping a slate clean seams so, cliche.  But, as this wonderful quote states, you only live once.  That's also the thing though.  You have to live your own life.  Not others, yours.  Share your dreams with others and hope and pray they will, if not share, then help guide you to those dreams and aspirations.

I have recently started a new job.  I don't know that I would call it a job though, because I have soo much fun working there!  The Apple company is not just a 'company'.  It is a family, a relationship that is invested in You, to make you a BETTER YOU... Many classes and people have informed me that setting goals are important to your success in life.   They did just that, 'informed' me.  At Apple, your dreams and ambitions are a reality.

As this past week has come and almost gone, Apple Inc. lost a very inspirational crutch in their family... Steve Jobs, visionary of all things ' i ' passed away last week.  I never thought that someone whom I had never met, could touch me in a way that he had.  Though I have never met Steve Jobs, he made this opportunity with Apple possible for me.  When I say "visionary of all things 'i' " I am not only speaking of the obvious, iPhone, iPod, iPad, iMac... but more importantly the meaning of that single letter ' i '.  Roman numeral for one - used in a phrase to mean one person, YOU.  Powerful really.  The second you vein to care about and stand up for yourself, others will too... That is what Steve Jobs taught me.

"Here's to the crazy ones.  The misfits.  The rebels.  The troublemakers.  The round pegs in the square holes.  The ones who see things differently.  They're not fond of rules.  And they have no respect for the status quo.  You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.  About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.  Because they change things.  They push the human race forward.  And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.  Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." - Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

So for now I shall toast to me, to you - that WE may come together to do something even greater than us. :)
